April 2026 CIRC Symposium Announcement [canceled]

⚠️ Notice: This symposium has been canceled

The Center for Integrated Research Computing (CIRC) will host its final symposium for the semester on Friday, April 17th, 11:30 am – 1 pm in Wegmans Hall 1400.

This month’s featured speaker is Charlie Wolock from the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology. Charlie will show how machine learning can be leveraged to estimate survival curves in epidemiological studies.

Our ongoing research talk will be given by Akshara Sharma from the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. Akshara will discuss some recent results from simulations of coarse-grained models of lipid bilayers.

Please see the flyer for details of the talks.

We look forward to seeing you there!

The CIRC Symposium occurs monthly and is a venue to experience firsthand how advanced computing infrastructure is being used by a variety of research projects across the University of Rochester. Faculty and students from all areas are encouraged to attend to gain insights into computational techniques and methods of data analysis utilized by the University’s research community.
